Creativity, Nature & Simple Living

Welcome to Thistle Glen Cottage, my little corner of the world for art, creativity, nature and simple, seasonal living.

Here I share my art and handmade creations, personal reflections and everyday joys.

The Thistle at the Glen

The thistle is the heart and namesake of Thistle Glen Cottage where they grow wild. Long associated in folklore and with protection, strength, healing, vitality, purification, and the breaking of harmful influences, it is a fitting emblem for a place devoted to home, hearth and love. Hardy and beautiful, the thistle also speaks to resilience, courage, and flourishing wherever we are planted.
